Poshmark store in the USA is a unique marketplace where branded clothing and accessories, both brand new and used, are sold and purchased. Poshmark is an ordinary board, but, as we all know, success lies in the details. It is focused on second-hand luxury items, mainly clothes. Marketers make high-quality ads and descriptions. On Poshmark, geography is completely disabled, so you can neither find out where sellers are from nor filter them by city and proximity to the buyer. From the buyer’s side, the site looks like a classic online store as they see a regular catalog with different products. Poshmark presents itself not as a flea market, but as an elite store of used, but luxury items that can be bought cheaper than new ones.

Meaning and History

Poshmark, founded in 2011, is a cross between Pinterest and eBay. It was created as an online platform where US residents can buy or sell clothes, shoes, and accessories from a wide variety of brands. It connects sellers with buyers, takes care of logistics, and takes 20% of the transaction as a reward. It became quite popular among shopping fans and registers more than 2.5 million purchases annually.

Poshmark Logo

The logo of the brand looks clean and minimalistic. The name is printed in all caps using a sans-serif font with simple, straight strokes. Combined with the black color, the inscription hints at the sophisticated, luxurious, and branded items one can purchase on Poshmark. The name is accompanied by a modified infinity symbol that has two elements interconnected. It can be assumed that the two resembled an interaction between a buyer and seller. However, if you look closer, the symbol is formed from two inverted “P”s  that stand for the platform name.

Font and Color

Poshmark Emblem

The company was quite conservative when it came to the color palette. The black is the main color that reflects stylish, sophisticated, elegant, and luxurious content on the platform. The brown color of the monogram adds a touch of richness and creates a feeling of comfort and stability.

For the inscription, the company went for a simple, sans-serif font with clean lines. It closely resembles the HomepageBaukasten-Book font. There are other similar fonts, such as Naste Light, Typold Book, and Organetto Light.
