Initially, the Mini was owned by the British Motor Corporation and produced small city cars for the masses. The first Mini appeared in 1959. British post-war motoring needed a cheap small car that was accessible to the masses. And that’s what the first Mini was like.
Meaning and history
A company logo has three main elements: wings, a circle and the company name written inside the circle. Despite the fact that the history of the logo is long, its wings were almost always present.
1959 – 1962
The first company logo had the shape of a circle and rectangular wings, which were placed on both sides of the logo. Inside the circle was the inscription ‘Morris’, as well as a bull, under which the waves were depicted.
1962 – 1968
The wings on the 1962 logo had been refined. There was a red ‘Mini Cooper’ lettering inside the circle with foliage around it.
1968 – 1969
In 1968, the circle was now black, and inside was the white inscription ‘Mini’.
1969 – 2001
The 1969 logo was in the form of a hexagon, divided inside two parts: the upper one with white lettering on a black background and the lower one, consisting of two blue parts separated by a thick gray outline.
2001 – 2018
After BMW acquired the company, the logo was slightly improved. It was a three-dimensional figure with a black circle, inside which was the white inscription ‘Mini’. The wings now had sharp corners and the font was minimalist and sans serif, which added confidence and strength to the company.
2018 – present
The 3D image has disappeared. The logo was now depicted in black. The wings are formed from five sharp lines, and the inscription ‘Mini’ is depicted without a background.
Emblem and symbol
The circle and wings in the emblem represent freedom and speed. It is minimalistic and laconic, reflects the main ideas of the brand and looks good in combination with any colors and materials.

Mini Clubman
The MINI Clubman is a kind of body variant of the well-known MINI One/Cooper hatchback. The car refers to a small, British Mini Clubman produced in the 70s and 80s.
Mini Countryman
The MINI Countryman is the first crossover in the brand’s history (although it is also included in the SAV – Sports Activity Vehicle group). The car was also the first vehicle of the brand produced outside Great Britain (more specifically in Austria), and the first with 2 doors.
