Daihatsu – a Japanese car brand, the origins of which can be found in 1907, when the Hatsudoki Seizo Co. company, dealing in the production of engines, was established. In 1951 the company was renamed Daihatsu Motor Co.

In 1957, the font took on a more austere and serious look. Serifs and curves were missing. The text was depicted in white on a red figure similar to an opened book.

1974 – 1998

In 1974, the logo became similar to the one we know today. A stylized letter “D” was depicted on the red rectangle, and the name of the company was placed in red under the rectangle.
