Tesla is an American brand of luxury and sports electric cars. The name of the company comes from the name of Nikola Tesla, a Serbian engineer, inventor of many electrical appliances. The company was founded in 2003 by Elon Musk. Tesla cars are manufactured at the company’s factory in Fremont, California and Gigafactory in Shanghai.
Meaning and History
A logo that was developed at the beginning of the company’s existing, is still relevant. The company’s logo is associated with an interesting history. There have been claims that the shape of the logo was taken from Nikola Tesla’s original drawings. The designers took a random electric motor part that looked like the letter “T” and changed it a bit. The letter was originally placed on a shield-shaped background, but then it was removed and only the “T” logo remained. In addition, there is a company’s name under it.
Tesla model 3 logo
Five-door compact sedan (segment C), equipped with a fully electric drive (can travel 350 km on a single charge), is produced since 2017. It took 10 years to create this car. Initially, it was called BlueStar, then Model E, but after a dispute with Ford (about the name) and Adidas (about the logo with three horizontal lines), the Model 3 name was chosen.
The number “3” was represented by three horizontal stripes, as in the case of the letter “E” in the company name. Its designer is Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief stylist. A characteristic element of the design of the Model 3 is the lack of a front grille. The car was built on a new Tesla 3DX platform.
Emblem and Symbol
There are several versions of the origin of the Tesla Motors emblem. The first similarity of the logo to the female reproductive system is very striking and this is one of the theories about the meaning of the Tesla logo. The second version says that the logo resembles a cat’s nose. The third, however, most likely, says that the logo shows a fragment of an electric motor invented by Tesla.
The Legends
Tesla Roadster
The first car in the history of Tesla appeared before the public in the spring of 2006. Tesla Roadster, created on the basis of Lotus Elise, is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds, and its maximum speed is limited to 200 km per hour.
Tesla Model Y
The crossover is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is 250 km per hour. With fully charged batteries, the vehicle can travel over 450 kilometers.
Tesla Cybertruck
It is perhaps one of the most popular car innovations of the last few months. The Cybertruck’s body, made of steel for SpaceX’s space rockets, has been styled to resemble cars from the Blade Runner universe.
Tesla model x
The vehicle features a pair of “falcon” wing rear doors that lift and fold to provide easy access in crowded parking lots and narrow garages.
