2007 – 2008
A few years later, the website runners settled on its official color code – black plus orange. The logotype followed this coloring, featuring the name caption in massive letters with prominent angular serifs. The domain ‘.com’ was written aside in a similar script.
2008 – 2009
Later, they changed the logo’s design completely. It featured a wordmark split into two parts. The first one, ‘porn’ was written in white on a black backdrop. The other one, ‘hub’, was black and stood inside an orange rectangle with circled edges. There were four blocks below it. The typography of the lettering had a standard style without serifs.
2009 – 2012
The 2009 version showed the same design with an addition of a gradient effect to the word ‘hub’ and its orange backdrop.
2012 – 2014
Then, they changed the logo again, making the gradient less visible.
2014 – today
The latter logotype depicts the familiar wordmark with an altered design. The black background of the word ‘porn’ disappeared, and the word itself got black. The portion ‘hub’ and the orange rectangle were remade without gradient.
Font
The Pornhub logo features a modern serif-free font that bears a resemblance to two specific typefaces: Deansgate Bold (commercial) and Roadgeek 2005 Series 6B Regular (free).
