Twistys is the name of a popular adult-content Vidi platform and a pornography studio from Quebec, Canada. Prior to the acquisition of the studio by Mindgeek in 2011, it was owned by Carsed Marketing.
Meaning and history
Adult studio Twistys, established in Canada at the beginning of the 2000s, produces adult movies and also operates one of the most popular pornographic websites. The company works with almost all the globally-popular celebrities in the pornography segment. Over the past few years, the studio has decided to launch a few more porn sites with different themes, so that everyone could choose what he likes to watch the most.
According to the rating, Twistys site is the fourth most popular adult-content platform on the Internet. And all thanks to the fact that new videos and photos are added every day and thus attract new users. Twistys porno studio is not going to stop there, and every week the company concludes new contracts with new models to please the audience with new movies for adults.
What is Twistys?
Twistys is the name of a Canadian pornography studio and an online platform with a huge collection of adult-content videos. The company was established in 2001, and acquired by the famous Mindgeek in 2011.
In terms of visual identity, the adult content brand has been dancing around the original concept of the logo, introduced in 2001, making it more modern and simplifying it with each new redesign.
2001 – 2002
The very first logo of the pornography studio Twistys was created in 2001, and only stayed active for several months. It was a bold title case lettering in solid red, with each heavy character outlined in yellow. The script Ness is set in a funky and cool sans-serif typeface, with the letters slightly jumping; adding playfulness to the badge.
2002 – 2005
The redesign of 2002 has completely changed the style and color palette of the Twistys visual identity, rewriting the name of the platform in a voluminous narrowed sans-serif font, in gradient blue, with each character outlined in white. The inscription was set against a plain white background with a thick pink horizontal line on it. This version of the logo was used by the studio for almost three years.
2005 – 2007
In 2005 the logo of Twistys has redesigned again, with the lettering rewritten in one shade — bright hand intense pink. As for the typeface, it was also completely changed, with the voluminous characters getting cursive contours. The slanted title case logotype was set on a plain white background with the dot above the “I” replaced by a small playful heart.
2007 – 2010
The redesign of 2007 has created a gradient oil banner with rounded wider, where the white rewritten logotype with the “.com” extension was placed. Unlike the glossy surface of the banner, the lettering was set in flat white lines, with the characters outlined in solid pink. This badge stayed with the platform for another three years.
2010 – Today
In 2010 the Twistys logo got another refinement. The sharp and cool sans-serif typeface of the new logotype was adopted from the previous version, but the composition got significantly simplified. Now it is flat fuchsia-pink lettering? Set against a plain white background, with the dot above the “I” replaced by an enlarged pink swirl, like a depiction of the “twisted” name of the studio. As for 2023, this is the most long-lasting logo on the platform.
Font and color
The custom title case lettering from the primary logo of the Twistys studio is set in a slanted sans-serif typeface with distinctive handwritten contours of the characters. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Hubert, or Van Dijk SB Regular, with some minor modifications of the contours.
As for the color palette of the Twistys visual identity, it is based on fuchsia pink, a color of love and passion. Apart from looking bright and eye-catching, this shade of pink is most often associated with the adult sphere of the Canadian studio.
